With this call for proposals, Vinnova is launching a large-scale and innovative effort on clusters of excellence. We are looking for people and organizations with the ambition and ability to formulate and realize a bold vision that positions Sweden at the absolute forefront of technology and innovation. It is about investing in groundbreaking researchers, infrastructures, innovative power and successful entrepreneurship, and about courageous leadership with international brilliance to attract internationally leading talents and investments. The goal of the initiative is that by 2035 there will be up to five world-leading clusters in Sweden that accelerate strategically important technology areas to innovation and competitiveness that strengthen Sweden. In a first step, we are offering funding to develop a vision, develop a plan and mobilize actors.
